Who is behind A Photo?
Artistic: After many re-writes of my artist statement, I have realized that I cannot box myself in to one style. My photography interests are like me- there are so many, how can I choose just one? I don't, and they evolve as I do, and with you, with one exception as the constant- to live and bask in natural light and our natural environments. Every day, life is ART. You are ART.
Authentic: I focus on in the moment connections. My background as a child and family social worker for 20+ years has focused on reducing barriers, creative solutions, strengths and possibilities, and I bring this to my photography.
A+: A lifelong learner. I have taken numerous courses, workshops, paid mentoring, which helps me grow continually from the technical skill needed to translate vision to image, analysis of what makes great images, studying historical and current image change makers, and for building confidence in my own creative process and articulating my WHY. A+ is not for perfection, but for persistence and passion.
